hi Penelope! Penelope is a 6 year old mastiff mix. She is a sweet girl that had a string of bad luck so far. At 3 years old year old she came to the rescue after being badly mauled by a large dog in her original home. After getting fixed up by our vets, she was adopted out. Sadly, due to no fault of her own, she was returned to us after almost a year in the home. While we are sad for her, we just know that the right home is out there for her. She is an active girl that is just the sweetest, happiest girl you could meet. She allows all handling, has been a model patient when recovering from her injuries, and a perfect girl ever since. We cannot stress enough of how wonderful she is! Despite being with us a for a very long time, she remains the fantastic lady that she was when we first met her. Penelope is crossing her paws and wishing on stars that her family finds her soon. She is a great girl that has many wonderful years ahead of her and she cannot wait to spend them with her forever owners. Because of her past, she is very weary of other dogs and will need a home as an only dog.
