hi Meatball! This handsome boy is a 8 year old boy is an American Bulldog. He came to us from another local shelter where he was surrendered by his family. He is short and stout at 90 lbs. The shelter reported that Meatball had several meets with the family prior to adoption. He has done very well for months but then was returned when he allegedly nipped one of the children while both were on the couch. The shelter does not have further detail on the bite. The family has been counseled that Meatball needed a lot of structure and should not be permitted on furniture, but sadly, they did not follow through. We wanted to give Meatball a chance - he is looking for an adult only family. He has lived with another dog and done very well with her. He is looking for a breed (or similar breed) experienced family that will provide Meatball with lots of decompression time and then proper structure and support so he can be the good dog we know he is. Meatball is a great dog with lots of love to give but thrives in environments with clear boundaries.
