hi Apollo, this handsome boy is a 1 1/2 year old Great Dane.. He originally came to us from a puppy mill with his sibling because they are both deaf, most likely due to the breeder trying to get merle puppies. The puppies relied on each other a lot as they were navigating the world so while we knew it could come with a risk, we allowed a dear friend to adopt both pups together. We hoped that with much love and professional trainer support, we would be able to avoid littermate syndrome. Sadly, we didn't. Apollo by himself is a big bundle of love and just wants to be with his people. He is quite easy and would be happy to just have a bone to chew on or sit and watch Animal Planet or a movie with his people. He does startle easily due to being deaf. He is leash trained and house trained. All training is in sign language, so the potential adopters will do the meet and greet with his current mom to learn all his hand signals. Apollo's current trainer that is working with him has offered to help acclimate Apollo into his new home with his new owners (no charge to the new family) if they would like to do that. Apollo would do best in a home with no other dogs and older children (due to his size).
