Meet Wesker Wesker is a 9‑month‑old mixed breed boy weighing about 44 pounds, and he is every bit the enthusiastic, goofy puppy you’d expect at this age. He was found as a stray and brought to ACCT Philly, and when the shelter began struggling for space, we were happy to quickly transfer this good boy into our care. Wesker greets the world with loose, wiggly body language and absolutely loves attention. He actively solicits pets, enjoys being close to people, and is especially happy when getting his back rubbed. He came easily out of the kennel, was simple to leash, and while he pulled mildly through the kennel area, he was overall easy to manage. Like many young dogs, Wesker is still learning his manners. He can become jumpy and a bit mouthy when excited, especially during petting, but this is very typical puppy behavior. The good news? He is highly redirectable and responds well to treats and toys. Wesker is especially ball‑motivated, loves playing fetch, and is currently working on dropping the ball — making him a great candidate for continued training. Wesker plays with a rough, in‑your‑face style with other dogs that not every dog appreciates. Because of this, he would do best either as an only dog or with another confident, playful dog who enjoys rough‑and‑tumble play. An active home with structure, consistency, and a commitment to training will help Wesker thrive. With some guidance and continued positive training, Wesker has the potential to grow into a wonderful, well‑rounded companion.
