She was saved from a puppy mill, where gentle beginnings were scarce—but even then, she never lost her capacity for connection. When Wednesday first arrived, she surprised everyone with her friendliness and was quickly adopted. Unfortunately, the transition into a home proved overwhelming for such a sensitive spirit. Fear and uncertainty took the lead, and she began nipping as a way to communicate stress. Her family worked with her, but ultimately realized they weren’t the right fit—and Wednesday returned to us needing reassurance that she hadn’t been forgotten or discarded. At first, she was guarded and defensive, like a little Addams keeping the drawbridge raised. With patience, consistency, and calm guidance from our volunteers, Wednesday began to feel safe again. Slowly—and very much in her own time—she opened her heart. Today, Wednesday is described by those who know her best as loving, gentle, and sweet. She accepts handling, enjoys affection, and forms thoughtful, meaningful bonds. She may observe you quietly at first, but once she decides you are hers, her devotion is unmistakable. Wednesday is looking for an adult‑only home that will respect her pace, understand her past, and allow her time to decompress and adjust. A calm, predictable environment is essential.
