Meet Valerie, a sweet 10-year-old Yorkie who is finally getting the chance to be loved for who she is. Valerie was surrendered by a Lancaster breeder after she was no longer producing puppies. After spending her life being used for profit, it is finally her turn to be cared for, cherished, and spoiled the way every dog deserves. At 12 pounds, Valerie is a lovely little lady who allows all handling and has been gentle and cooperative with our team. Right now, she's on the timid side as she adjusts to all the changes in her life, but it's easy to see the sweet soul underneath. She is looking for a patient, understanding family that will give her the time she needs to settle in and learn what it means to be a beloved pet. Valerie doesn't need much, just a soft bed, a kind heart, and a family willing to show her that her best days are still ahead of her. With a little love and patience, we think this deserving girl will blossom. If you'd like to give a wonderful senior dog the forever home she's been waiting for, Valerie is ready to meet you. She does not like to share her people and will need to be the only dog in the home. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She also had a dental and a small mass removed.
