hi Tootsie, this girl is an adult cockatoo that was picked up by the police when the owner passed away. She found herself at an animal control shelter and quickly came to us. Tootsie is loud and in charge - she is looking for an experienced large bird owner. She can be very sweet but she will also let you know when she is unhappy and will bite. She is incredibly social and smart - she has learned how to open regular cages so she needs extra locks or you will come home to her running around the house loose. She would do well in a free range set up. She can speak and is eager to learn more. She does not like kids and seems to really bond with one person at a time - though she does not seem to have a preference for male / female owners. She has been through a lot since her owner passed away so she needs a calm and experienced home to help her settle in. She will not be placed in apartments / condos or other multi family homes due to her noise level.
