Sunday is a 6-year-old, 12-pound mixed breed who is looking for a patient and loving family to help her discover just how wonderful life can be. She came to us after being surrendered to ACCT Philly along with two other dogs. Unfortunately, their owner refused to leave any information behind, so much of their history remains a mystery. What we do know is that the dogs were not well cared for and likely missed out on many of the experiences that help dogs build confidence and trust. Since arriving in rescue, Sunday has been slowly learning that people can be kind and that the world isn't quite as scary as it once seemed. She remains shy and cautious in new situations, but beneath that uncertainty is a sweet girl who allows handling and continues to make progress every day. Sunday will thrive in a patient home that understands that trust takes time. She simply needs someone willing to let her move at her own pace while showing her love, consistency, and kindness along the way. She can be adopted on her own or with one (or both) of her canine friends. We think she would especially benefit from living with another social, confident dog who can help show her the ropes and continue building her confidence.
