hi Roscoe, Roscoe was living happily in a safe warm home with his older owner and his little chihuahua friend. His owner became sick, passed away, and both dogs were dropped at the loud city shelter. Roscoe watched a family leave with his best buddy, the chihuahua, and then he was totally alone. He had lost everything he had known- his friends- human and canine and his home. He has been living in a kennel ever since and for six months has become more and more depressed. Roscoe‘s heartbreaking circumstances are hard to watch He has a number of volunteer friends, but kennel life is taking a toll on him. Roscoe needs a shepherd experienced home as we think he may have some protective instincts though he is always welcoming to new people when he is in the play yards and new volunteers come in. He is middle aged and doesn't need much. He JUST wants a warm home again where he can lay his head and have a new owner to love. Because he never lived with kids we think a home with older kids or adults would be best.
