River is a tiny 6-year-old Bichon weighing about 13 pounds. She was surrendered to us along with two other dogs when she was considered no longer useful as a breeder momma. River and her friends are all sweet but timid. She allows handling and seems to enjoy sitting on laps, but at first, she tends to sit frozen and shaking a bit. River has shown a little more confidence than her friends, and with much love and patience, she is improving every day and slowly finding her courage and confidence. She is hoping for a patient and loving home that will help her continue to blossom. Having a social and friendly dog at home would be a great benefit to her progress.
