Hi Lisa, This pretty is an almost 6 year old Havanese. She came to us from a puppy mill when they no longer wanted her for breeding. Knowing Lisa's past, it is understandable that she is nervous and on the defense. She is not used to a kind word or gentle pets. While our volunteers are working with her, she is looking for a patient and understanding home that will help her during this transition time. She would like a family that will give her all the time and distance needed as she learns how to dog - she will not be a cuddly lap dog right away. The family will need to move at Lisa's comfort level and schedule. She would need to meet any resident dogs. At this time, she would like an adult only home. She will come with vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and 4dx tested.
