Lady Luck 9 Months Old | 37 lbs | German Shepherd Some dogs live up to their names in the most unexpected ways. At just 9 months old, Lady Luck has already endured more hardship than any puppy should ever face, yet she remains one of the sweetest, gentlest, and most loving dogs we've ever met. Lady Luck came to us after being surrendered to ACCT Philly with another dog when their home was destroyed by a fire. We knew we had to help. As heartbreaking as that situation was, it quickly became clear that her challenges started long before the fire. Malnourished at only 37 pounds, this beautiful German Shepherd arrived skin and bones and in need of both medical care and lots of TLC. She also suffered a burn injury to her tail that ultimately required amputation by our veterinary team. While she is still recovering from surgery and working hard to gain weight, Lady Luck faces every day with quiet resilience and a heart full of love. Despite everything she has been through, Lady Luck absolutely adores people. She has quickly become a volunteer favorite, greeting everyone with a gentle nature and affectionate personality. She loves attention, enjoys spending time with her human friends, and seems grateful for every bit of kindness she receives. As she continues to heal physically and emotionally, Lady Luck is looking for a patient, loving family that will help her leave her difficult past behind. She will need a home committed to continuing her recovery, helping her build confidence, and most importantly, showering her with the love she has always deserved. After everything this young girl has overcome, we're determined to make sure Lady Luck's best chapter is still ahead of her. Could that chapter be with you? She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She has a weakness in her hind legs that the vet diagnosed due to malnutrition and growing pains.
