Hi Huey! This good boy is a 5 1/2 year old Dachshund. He came to us a breeding farm when he was no longer wanted or needed. He was surrendered to us with his friend Duey. Huey is a lovely little guy. He was a little shy at first but has allowed us all handling without issues. He is friendly, interested in his surroundings and volunteers - all around a very sweet boy. Once he is comfortable, he is pretty playful and he is a sucker for a good treat. He would need to meet any resident dogs but has done well with dogs here. He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, 4dx tested and dewormed. He also had a dental. Huey has quite a bit of alopecia on his belly, parts of his legs and ears. He also had a big wound on the ear. While the ear is now healed, we are not sure if the fur will ever come back. It is suspected that the alopecia is due to breeding him for a color that is not natural for the breed. It was hard to capture in pictures but in real life he is more of a dilute blue/ tan.
