At just 19 pounds and 2 years old, Gary is proof that the best things come in small packages. This handsome terrier mix has overcome a difficult start after being found as a stray, and now he's ready to find the patient, loving family he's been waiting for. Gary is a sensitive soul who takes a little time to trust new people. The world can feel overwhelming at first, and he appreciates a gentle approach and the chance to get comfortable at his own pace. But once you've earned his trust, you'll discover a sweet, affectionate little guy who loves cuddling up in your lap and soaking up all the love he can get. Gary is looking for a calm, adult-only home where he can continue building his confidence. He responds beautifully to positive reinforcement, tasty treats, and kind handling. With patience and consistency, his personality continues to blossom more every day. When he's feeling safe, Gary enjoys toys, short bursts of playtime, and spending time with his people. He's also shown interest in other dogs, though slow, thoughtful introductions are recommended. Gary doesn't need a perfect family. He just needs one willing to give him the time, understanding, and love he deserves. In return, you'll gain a loyal companion who will cherish the bond you build together. Gary is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and 4DX tested. If you're ready to help a deserving dog discover what it means to be truly home, Gary can't wait to meet you. If you are serious about adoption, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com. His adoption fee is $475.
