Meet Elvira Elvira is a 9‑month‑old, 20‑pound Border Collie / Jack Russell Terrier mix and an absolute gem of a young dog. She originally came to us as part of a litter surrendered from an Amish farm in Lancaster, and she has grown into a confident, social, and well‑rounded adolescent who is adored by our volunteers. Elvira is a volunteer favorite and a regular in playgroups, where she consistently shines. She plays well with many different dogs, is tolerant of a wide range of play styles, and shows great social skills for her age. Whether she’s romping with playful pups or navigating calmer personalities, Elvira handles it all beautifully. True to her mix, Elvira is smart, curious, and engaged with the world around her, but she also has an easygoing side that makes her a joy to be around. She’s a great little dog who combines fun energy with social intelligence and a willingness to learn. Elvira is looking for an active, committed home that will continue to guide her through adolescence with training, structure, and enrichment. Puppy classes (or ongoing training) will be important to help her reach her full potential and channel her brain and enthusiasm in positive ways. She would need to meet any resident dogs. She will come spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
