hi Channa, This stunning lady is an 1 1/2 year old German Shepherd. She was surrendered by her owner to the local animal control shelter when they were loosing their home. We quickly scooped her up and brought her to the rescue. Channa is such a great dog. While she struggled at the animal control shelter and was very nervous there, she has been much more relaxed and happy with us. Her prior owner reported that she is a medium energy dog that likes to play with toys (especially the squeaky ones). She lived with kids as young as 4 years old. She enjoys walking and enjoying the outdoors. The owner reported she was weary of strangers but we haven't seen that here. She also knows several commands. She has been super friendly with all of the volunteers. She has been easy going, good on the leash and happy. She loves giving hugs to our volunteers (we know, bad manners to let dogs jump up but sometimes we just cannot resist). She would need to meet any resident dogs.
