Meet Bernard! Bernard is an approximately 3-year-old, 41-pound pit bull who found his way to us through the local dog warden. Since arriving in our care, Bernard has been an absolute gentleman. He’s shown himself to be incredibly sweet, social, and friendly with every volunteer he meets. He has an easygoing, outgoing personality and quickly wins people over with his affectionate nature. Bernard loves nothing more than snuggling up beside his volunteers, soaking up attention, and enthusiastically requesting belly rubs. One of Bernard’s favorite things in the world? Rolling in the grass! Whether he’s out enjoying time in the yard or just taking in the fresh air, he’s got a joyful, carefree spirit that shines through. The dog warden brough Bernard to us after a member of the public claimed Bernard bit him. The individual involved did not seek medical attention, there is no bite report, documentation of injuries or any proof of an actual bite. Because of that, after completing the required hold, we made the decision to give Bernard a chance, and we’re so glad we did. Bernard is looking for a loving home that will continue to see the wonderful dog he truly is. He’s a happy, affectionate boy who will make a devoted companion for a family ready to welcome him with open arms. He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested.
