** special needs ** hi Bandit, this handsome boy is an 8 year old mini poodle. He was surrendered to us from a commercial breeder in Lancaster with several other dogs when he got too old to continue studding. He is 12 lbs. Bandit is such a sweet soul! He came to us nervous and shy but that is not surprising considering the life he has lived so far. In our care, after a good groom, he has been opening up and showing us his personality. He may be a bit timid still around new friends, but he is always excited and happy to see his volunteers. He is a wonderful little boy that cannot wait to join a loving home, He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. He also had a dental. During the dental, a fracture in the lower jaw was detected at about the midpoint of the left mandible. There were no teeth present on this side of the mouth (other than one canine) prior to surgery. Bandit has recovered well from the dental and is back to eating. He is also not painful. His vet recommends feeding soft food for LIFE to avoid further issues with his jaw. He should not be allowed to chew on any hard objects. If at any point, Bandit is clinical for jaw pain and having trouble eating, the rescue will work with his adopters and the vet who did the dental to discuss removing the detached part of his jaw (at the cost of the rescue).
