hi Babette! This smiling creature is a 5 1/2-year-old French Bulldog. She was surrendered to us from a commercial breeder in Lancaster when they no longer wanted her. She is 25 lbs. We love Babette! She has been sweet and friendly in our care. She is in foster care with one of our volunteers and currently lives with a big pack of other short nose pups and does amazing with them. She has been happy and social with all of the dogs. Babette was hospitalized some weeks ago due to GI issues (which are pretty typical of the breed), and while she was there, one of the hospital staff members fell in love with her and adopted her. Sadly, she was returned back to us shortly after. We were told that Babette was being food aggressive and difficult around food. We are not sure what could have brought about that issue and if there were additional stressors in the home that may have caused it, like being around children. After return, she went right back to her foster dad where she did not display any of these behaviors. She is fed with the other dogs, is around foster dad when he is eating, doesn't show any issues around treats or toys and has been a very easy for her foster dad. She would need to meet any resident dogs at home. Out of abundance of caution, Babette will not be placed with children. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested.
