Phoenix Animal Rescue Renewing hope for homeless animals, one day at a time.

We at Phoenix Animal Rescue believe in giving back to our local community. Not only does it feel good to help others, but it also serves as a gentle reminder of how lucky we are to be able to continue our personal mission. We wouldn't be where we are without the help of others, and in doing so we have formed some great connections. To show our appreciation, we continue to strive to do our part in helping those in need , provided we have the resources available. This page shows you just a few examples of how we are contributing to society and giving back.

  • PAR donated roughly 1,000 pounds of dry dog food to Bear Necessities Pet Pantry in early 2012. Bear Necessities helps low income families feed their pets in times of need. Their goal is to reduce the amount of pets surrendered to shelters and to give families the hope of staying together.

  • Animal Care and Control Team (ACCT) of Philadelphia put out a plea in July 2012 for pet food donations since their pet pantry was empty. PAR responded with nearly 1,000lbs of dry dog and cat food to help them. The citizens of Philadelphia often times depend on donations to help feed their pets. This food also helps foster parents and rescues who need help getting through rough patches. It gives citizens an alternative to surrendering and it also helps entice people to foster by helping them feed an animal that otherwise may not make it out of the shelter.

“Giving is a universal opportunity. Regardless of your age, profession, religion, income bracket, and background, you have the capacity to create change.”
